Dear Members,

IVAO GB will be holding another real world meet up on the 8th and 9th of August at Manchester Airport. This event will be spread over the weekend, the 8th being at the 'Airport Hotel' which is situated at the end of runway 23R and gives a fantastic view of arrivals and departures (11:00z - 14:00z.) After the daytime event on the 8th, we will be doing what we do best and hitting Manchester, please note that for obvious reasons, this part of the event is strictly for over 18's only. During the day of the 9th, it will be upto members as to what they wish to do, we usually go to the Aviation Viewing Park, but we will be open to any suggestions at all. Members are free to attend one or both days if they wish, the more people the merrier. Some of us will be staying at the hotel on Friday 7th March also, so if you wish to turn up then, you will be more than welcome.

There are various hotels situated around the vicinity of Manchester Airport and most of us will be staying at Bewleys near the Airport Train Station. It usually works about about £60 - £70 per night per room, so two sharing is only £30 (ish) each. Manchester is easily accessible via train, bus or car if you wish to drive.

The event itself will start at about 10:30am on the 8th, and we will meet in the beer garden of the Airport Hotel, the pub car park does require £5, but you can redeem £4 of this at the bar. We will  then probably run through until mid to late afternoon and then try and be out in Manchester for about 20:00. Please remember to bring some form of ID with you, as many places in Manchester demand to see ID.

Once again, the daytime events are open to anyone who wishes to come, if you are over 18 and wish to come on the night out as well, you will be more than welcome to do so. We very much look forward to seeing you on the 8th from 10:30am.

For more information on the 'Airport Hotel' and directions please check the following link.

Nah was just too hot, we got a Tikka Massala which is normally a mild curry and asked for a bit of extra spice and it was hotter than a Madras!
